Located near cotton, rice, and soybeans fields, the Altheimer library was built in October 2001 as part of the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System. This Jefferson County library sits a few miles from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The library, renovated in November 2019, is approximately 3,500 square feet and includes gaming, children’s, teen, and adult areas. A library meeting room is available for reservation during and after library hours. The meeting room comes complete with a 55” monitor attached to a Windows PC and DVD player from which you can Skype or do presentations. The monitor also allows you to miracast from smartphones, laptops, and tablets or use the HDMI port/HDMI cable to project laptop screens onto the monitor. The library collection includes fiction, nonfiction, DVDs, and books on CDs as well as access to collections within the remaining locations of the system. This location is only open part-time. The other three branches in the Jefferson County Library System have the same hours as the main Pine Bluff, Arkansas Library branch.
